Photo of one of the hoof boots from my 2006 faun costume. The construction's a mish-mash of wood carving, sewing and leatherwork.
Questions regarding the construction, etc, will not be answered. I will not take commissions for these, nor will I give information as to how I did them. Not out of wanting to keep a "trade secret", but because they are NOT safe. I will not risk somebody hurting themselves on my advice.

so yeah, totally killed what i had intended to write about- so i will just say those are rather nifty. What kinda issues did you have with them that makes them so unsafe? I can imagine balance is an issue. I hope you did not injure yourself with these things.
